- The vehicle vehicle must: Be of standard UK specification and not modified from the original manufacturer’s specification; Not have been the subject of a previous motor insurance total loss/write off; Have no current mechanical or electrical faults; Not be used as a taxi, for hire and reward, or for driving tuition; Not be used for any sort of competition, race, or rally; Be kept legal and roadworthy at all times during the period of cover (e.g. valid MOT, routine servicing etc.)
- In the event you wish to cancel the Warranty, you should contact our Customer Services Team who will provide you with confirmation once the cover has been cancelled.
- To help protect against fraudulent or pre-existing faults, you can’t request a repair for the first 28-days. After this, you’re free to request a repair at any time by contacting our Customer Support Team.
- Yes – although we do have a nationwide network of trusted repairers who are familiar with our processes and are set up to accept payment directly from us – saving you any upfront payment. If you do choose to use your own garage, we will make you aware of the steps they will need to take and how claim settlement will be made.
- No. The Warranty is available on a monthly rolling contract, meaning you can keep the cover in place for as little or as long as possible – you’re in full control!
- No, but we do recommend that you try to buy a car that has been serviced as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. During the period of Warranty, you should have the car serviced in accordance with your car manufacturer’s service schedule using a VAT registered garage.

- If we do not meet your expectations in any way, we’d like the opportunity to put things right. If having received a response from our Customer Services Team you are unhappy with the outcome, please contact our Complaints Team via email at complaints@carprotectdirect.co.uk.
- Enter your vehicle registration number and its current mileage and we will provide a no obligation price for all products throughout our site.
- Unlike many used car warranties, our Warranty covers the breakdown of all mechanical and electrical components on the vehicle. There is a small list of exclusions which includes general consumables (e.g. service items, tyres) and things typically damaged by road traffic accidents (e.g. bodywork, glass), and we are confident that our Warranty is the most comprehensive in the market. - As standard, our Warranty includes cover for when you are driving in Mainland Europe. For full details on how to request a repair when abroad, please refer to the warranty terms & conditions.
- If you sell your car you may be able to transfer the Warranty to your replacement, providing it is less than 10-years old and have covered less than 100,000-miles. Please Contact Us for additional information or to discuss transferring the Warranty.
- To help provide the best level of cover and service available, we provide Warranties for vehicles up to 10-years old that have covered a maximum of 100,000-miles. We also provide cover for vehicles up to 2.4L/2,400cc engine capacity.
